Meet Berachah, who’s name means blessed by God. She is around 10 years young and was saved just in time. She is a black tri Australian Shepherd female. She weighs a total of 17 pounds and should weigh 30+ pounds. Berachah is very mellow, and we are just getting her settled so we will update her status for you as she progresses.

Meet Holland, she is a 1 and a half year old black bi female Australian Shepherd, she is full of energy and spunk, but sadly she got into a fight with another Aussie in her home, and she took the brunt of the fight. 2 girls that wanted to be boss, and the boss was a 60 pound red tri, and Holland only weighs around 25-30 pounds.

Epoc, know as Shadow is a striking blue merle Australian Shepherd who came to us with her brother. She was adopted by a great family, she will need surgery and we would like to help off set those costs. If you can find it in your heart to donate a few dollars for her hip surgery, Shadow would thank you for ever and so would her family.

We have 2 more Aussies coming into the program. Currently they are being groomed, checked out medically and tested for likes and dislikes. We hope to get more pictures and information in the coming week.

Welcome 3 New Spirit Aussies Coming Up For Adoption Soon

We were very lucky to have these 3 Australian Shepherds come to New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue. They were all from an owner turn in. All 3 are people lovers, and should be good with children, as always, toddlers can create an instant herding instinct when they run, they are Aussies and they do like to keep thinks in order.

Sundown (Sage NS 0627) is a 2 year old black tri female who will probably be best as the only dog in the home, so far that seems to be her desire.

Symbian (Boomer NS 0629) is a red tri male around 2 years old, he is a very happy and lively boy who is looking for a home. He is currently still with his Mom and Dad, who need to re-home him as soon as possible. Stay tuned for more on Symbian.

The Evergreen Lake Triathlons

Who Can Resist?

The international distance triathlon consists of a 1.5 kilometer swim, 40 kilometer bike and a 10 kilometer run. The sprint distance triathlon consists of a 500 meter swim, 40 kilometer bike, and a 5 kilometer run.

All events take place in and around scenic Comlara County Park near Hudson, IL. These events are sponsored by the Bloomington-Normal Area Sports Commission and coordinated by Tri-Mom Events, LLC and the Tri-Shark Triathlon Club, Inc.

New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue will also be there with a booth to help spread awareness of the Australian Shepherd and just how great of a companion they are to train for a triathlon. Also how they can give great kisses!

Sad But I Was Asked To

I was asked to remove all reference to Aussie Rescue Placement Helpline (ARPH) yesterday. This was any dogs for adoption or that were adopted.

So I guess if you are looking for an Aussie, do a search for other rescues in IL besides our site. We will keep listing those great Protege Aussies. We also are looking for volunteers and foster homes in Wisconsin and Indiana. So if you are in those areas, contact us, we would be happy to help get you rolling.

Say hello to Sam, he was a mini Australian Shepherd that was down in Paris Illinois. He was dumped because he would nip at the child in the home, and we beleive he was abused and beaten for doing this, since he would shrink away when we tried to measure his height.

He was adopted by a family in Southern Illinois, she gave him time, attention, and lots of love, and he has turned into a confident, happy young man. Way to go Sam!
