Cassie is a very sweet and loving 1-2 year old lethal white female mini Australian Shepherd. Fortunately, neither her hearing nor vision has been affected by this, however (although given her age and puppy characteristics there are definitely days she’d argue otherwise As her foster mom, I’d label is as more “selective” hearing.). Cassie only weighs about 20lbs. She has littered one set of puppies recently and is consequently not yet spayed, but will be prior to adoption.

She’s a busy girl, who loves toys, bones, playing with other dogs, and chasing the squirrels outside, and the cat inside. She’s a very quick learner and does all she can to please you. You don’t need to teach her things twice, and she is definitely remorseful when she forgets. She’s learning the command “sit,” and is house and kennel-trained. She’s definitely a lover too and soaks up any and all attention you’ll give her. She plays well with children and will make her new family quite happy. Cassie is fostering in Minneapolis, MN.

Cam is an adorable 4 month old red merle lethal white Aussie boy. Cam is deaf, but his vision appears to be fine! If you are looking for one of the most loving puppies in the midewest, then meet our Prissy! The first thing Miss Prissy does when she wakes up is jump on her people’s laps, cuddle, kiss and love them – and then of course goes about her business. Being only 13 weeks old and 8 pounds, she is already a little velcro girl who prefers to be near her people when she plays and takes naps. This is very smart of Prissy as she is also a “lethal white” mini-Aussie and non-hearing.

Swan is being taught to walk on a leash better, but rides well in a car, she does chase the cat and seems to find it fun to play keep away from her foster family (we are working on that) but she is a loving girl (on her terms of course) and plays very well with other dogs, again her hi pre drive finds her playing very rough for a girl.

Meet Abila, she is a 3 year old black tri Australian Shepherd, she weighs around 40-45 pounds and is completely housebroken. Abila’s foster mom says she is not one to make a fuse at people coming to the door.

Abila can jump and was actually caught doing a single leap out of a 6ft high kennel, though in the yard she doesn’t try to jump the fence. Breezy is a 36 pound red tri female about 2 years old. She is completely housebroken but is crated during the day while her foster parents are at work. She has the run of the house when they are home and at night. She gets along wonderfully with her foster siblings: an eight year old male Flat Coat/Gordon Setter mix, a 5 year old female Aussie and a 4 year old male Main Coon mix cat.

Breezy is a very high energy dog and loves lots of activity like long walks and will play fetch until she drops. Her absolute favorite toy is a tennis ball. She is willing to play anytime anywhere but she also understands when play time is over and will settle down very quickly. Her foster mom has been working with her in basic agility, fly ball and rally obedience to keep her mentally and physically challenged. She is smart, very treat motivated and willing to learn anything you take the time to teach her. Breezy has even learned to jog on the treadmill.

She has perfect house manners and other than following you like a shadow, you would never know she was there. Breezy walks well on a leash and loves to ride in the car. She willingly jumps in to go where ever you are going. She is not food, toy or crate possessive. She knows all her basic commands, sit, stay, down, come, shake, leave it and wait. Outside the home Breezy has never met a stranger; she accepts people and animals alike. Inside the home, her foster family is working on her trust issues with men.

While she likes her foster dad, she likes him best seated or lying on the floor as standing intimidates her a bit. Because of her lack of confidence with men Breezy would be best suited to go to a home with previous dog experience and no small children, as she may become over-protective of the children. She could also benefit from an established dog in the home to continue to learn from. She is a very happy girl and a lot of fun.

Sailor is a gorgeous red merle male Australian Shepherd. He’s about 40lbs, a year and a half old and is a love of a dog! He’s very mellow and easy going. Sailor came from a hoarding situation where he literally lived the first year of his life in a barn. But he’s made amazing progress in his foster home and they report that he is very appreciative of having someone to love him and play with him every day! Sailor loves squeaky toys and will do just about anything for them. Never mind the treats, give him a squeaky toy! Sailor is pretty much housebroken and he loves having his crate as his own personal space. Leave the crate door open and you might find him in there napping all on his own. He enjoys being able to hang out with his people on the couch or the bed, but he will sleep on the floor if thats where you want him. He is also a bit of a sock bandit, and will steal one and hide it under his pillow!

Sailor is fostering on a farm that has cattle and he’s has shown little interest in them. He’s not afraid of them, but he also isnt going to go ‘herd’ them. He likes joining his foster family to help with chores, and he can be trusted off leash and he wont go anywhere. Sailor is nervous around children under 5yo and would do best in a home with older kids. He’s not a big fan of ‘hubbub’. He is a typical Aussie watch dog and will bark at strangers that approach his family, especially if they are men. He seems to gravitate towards women over men, but will settle down with just about anybody with some time. Training overall is going well. He knows sit, stay, off, no, hey!, be nice, quiet, bed, and shake. Still working on come, he mostly just likes you to whistle or call his name. It’s also been noted that Sailor’s vision in the dark is not too keen. But it doesnt seem to affect him too much!

Washington walks good on a leash though some refresher courses might help, he rides great in a car, but does get happy feet, he also is house broken and gets along well with other dogs and with children.

His foster mom said he pretty much wiggles his way into your life, and is just as mellow as they come, he doesn’t pull on a leash, rides perfect in a car, knows his real name (Mocha) and comes when you call him, and gets along well with all forms of animals.

Meet Bellayre, a 3 month old blue merle female Lethal White Australian Shepherd. She is deaf and has diminished eye sight. She is being taught hand signals so her eye sight is well enough for training. She needs to be placed in a home with another dog as she feeds off of their presence.

Meet Seba, a gentle souled red merle Australian Shepherd. She is 4 years old and weighs around 40-45 pounds. She has just completed her heartworm treatment and is fully recovered. But once she was finished it was discovered she will also need surgery for Hip Dsyplasia, so we will be having a double FHO performed on her. We ask you help offset the costs for this beautiful Red Merle Aussie.

Seba loves people, she loves car rides, she walks great on a leash, ignores cats and plays with other dogs great. She will probably be an Aussie who is more on the mellow side of life, and look for human contact all the time, as most Australian Shepherds will do.

Meet Sola a 12 week old red merle female Lethal White. She is deaf but sees just fine and will require a family that understands the needs of a deaf dog. We would also like to see her go into a home with another dog so she has someone to feed off of for her reactions.

Her foster mom says she is smart as a Harvard Grad (is there such a thing;) and she has already in her short time with Mom learned sit and down in one day. She is crate trained and is working on potty manners. She is a puppy and of course gets distracted with play.

She is being taught leash manners and not to nip when walking, she has a strong herd drive to her. She also is learning to share the kitchen at dinner time and should be trained to be respectful once she is ready for adoption.
