Maggie is the textbook definition of the aussie breed: affectionate, loyal and smart, all wrapped up in a gorgeous blue merle, blue-eyed body. Look at that striking face!
At 2 years old, she is a little large for a typical female at 55 lbs. A little body just can’t contain all her lovin’. Maggie is housebroken, crate trained but probably doesn’t need it, and knows basic obedience. She thrives on positive enforcement and learns quickly. She is learning her leash manners and loves the great outdoors and going on long strolls or jogs. She is not excessively active but still loves playtime – mainly because it’s interaction with you!
She does not “heel-bite” like some aussies and loves attention from any person she meets, but will announce when a stranger is approaching, so she’s working on her greetings manners too. Once Maggie meets you, her wiggle butt never stops. She would do well in a home with older kids for playmates. In her past life, Maggie was not exposed to many other dogs. Other unfamiliar dogs may make Maggie nervous. In order to overcome her anxiety, her adoptive family must be willing to continue her training. Maggie has not been introduced to any cats.
Maggie is spayed, utd on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm and flea preventative and microchipped. She is fostering in St Louis, Missouri and if you are interested in making her a part of your family, please fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION and reference ASRM 0132 Maggie!
