Maggie May is a year and a half female blue Merle sweetheart. There is not a person that she’s met that doesn’t want to take her home! Maggie loves everyone – adults, children and other dogs. There are no cats in her foster home so we are not sure how she would do with them. She is a very loving little girl that LOVES to snuggle! Maggie just may be the best snuggler her foster mom has ever met. If you allow her on the couch (she will stay down if you tell her to) she will inch her way up slowly to see how close you will let her get to you. But be forewarned, she will try to get right under your chin and press up as close as she can against you!
Maggie May is one smart girl and is very easy to train. The tricks that she loves to perform, and she will show you all without being prompted, include: sit, shake, lie down and roll-over. Maggie is just as happy with getting praise as she is with a treat for her reward.
Our preference would be for Maggie May to go to a home with another dog for her to continue to learn from and to be a companion to help keep her out of mischief. Maggie May became very depressed in her foster home after being the only dog. She really needs a partner in crime to patrol the yard and run off those pesky squirrels and rabbits. It is her favorite pastime to watch every little critter that she sees!
Maggie May is an active girl so a home with plenty of exercise is a must. She will benefit greatly from continued socialization and exposure to new and different things.
This beautiful little girl is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her shots. She is being fostered in Secor, Illinois. If you are interested in Maggie May please complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION.
